I hit a deer on Thanksgiving and I still don't have my truck back, but I do have a free rental car(even though its a dodge magnum). All that at no expense for me...

She should have hit it. It's hard to do, but it is usually best.

Not saying I condone hitting animals but if I had to choose between hitting one or having broken bones or worse, I'm choosing hitting the animal. Or at least not swerving.

I almost hit one Sunday night. It was just standing in the passing lane waiting to be hit. Deer vs. Trailblazer? No doubt who would win that fight. I had visions of blood, guts and broken glass the rest of the night.
